- This archive contains files to allow users of the DOS version of "Pro
- Pinball - The Web" to run a native Windows 95 version. This archive
- also contains the Microsoft DirectX II components needed for the game.
- Please note that you will need the original game CD.
-
- Unzip this archive to a temporary directory using the "-d" switch to
- preserve directories. Then run the "INSTALL.EXE" program, and follow
- the onscreen prompts. We recommend that you install the windows version
- into the same directory as your DOS version, since you will be able to
- share any upgrade patches between both versions. You will be able to
- store different option settings for the two versions, though hi-scores
- will be shared by both. Once you have installed the game, you can run
- it by clicking on the created shortcuts, or by running the "PLAY.EXE"
- program.
-
- The keys have been changed from the DOS version, and the changes are
- noted below. You can redefine these keys by clicking on the
- "options..." button on the PLAY program, but you cannot define them to
- use the same keys as the DOS version as there appears to be no standard way
- of reading the shift keys seperately under Windows 95 that will work on
- all systems. The defaults were chosen to be in a similar layout on
- international keyboards.
-
- <F> Left Flipper
- <J> Right Flipper
- <G> Nudge from left
- <H> Nudge from right
- Other keys should be as per DOS version
